Adolescent & Older Dog Training
At Lucy & Olive Dog Training, I offer choice-based training for adolescent and older dogs, designed to meet their unique needs and learning styles. Whether your dog is navigating the tricky teenage months or adapting to life as a senior, this approach lets them make decisions, build confidence, and learn at their own pace in a fun, stress-free, and positive environment.
Sessions focus on reinforcing good manners, improving focus, addressing behavioral challenges, and providing mental enrichment. Tailored to each dog’s personality, age, and abilities, the training is effective, rewarding, and enjoyable. My goal is to help dogs of all ages feel confident and capable while strengthening the bond between you and your dog.
Scentwork Training and Trials
At Lucy & Olive Dog Training, I provide choice-based scentwork training as a Scentwork UK Accredited Trainer. Choice-based training empowers dogs to make their own decisions, tap into their natural instincts, and learn at their own pace in a positive, stress-free, and confidence-building environment.
Scentwork is truly inclusive—perfect for dogs of all ages and breeds, including reactive or sensitive dogs who may struggle in traditional class settings. Each session is tailored to your dog’s individual abilities, helping them develop focus, independence, and problem-solving skills while doing what they love most: using their incredible sense of smell.
From Foundations to Competition
Whether you are introducing your dog to scentwork for the first time or preparing for the competitive circuit, I provide structured guidance and encouragement to strengthen both your dog's skills and their self-esteem. My goal is to create a joyful, empowering experience that deepens the bond between you and your dog.
Scentwork UK Trials at Our Venue
As an Accredited Scentwork UK Judge and Trial Manager, I bring a wealth of expert knowledge to every session. I am qualified to run and judge trials from Level 1 all the way through to Level 10, giving my students a unique "insider’s perspective" on what it takes to succeed in a competitive environment.
I host official Scentwork UK Trials at my venue on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. These events offer a fantastic opportunity for handlers to put their training into practice in a familiar, supportive environment. Whether you are aiming for your first qualification or moving up the tiers, our trials are designed to be a rewarding experience for every team.
